New Jersey Department of Law & Public Safety release Millburn Crime Stats
MILLBURN, NJ – Statistics from the NJ State Police show that the crime rate in New Jersey reduced by 5%.
The 2015 Uniform Crime Report (UCR) revealed the number of crimes that occurred between the 1st of January to 31st of December 2015. The following offenses with their rate are included in the report that falls in the category of:
- Murder
- Rape
- Robbery
- Aggravated assault
- Burglary
- Larceny
- Motor vehicle theft
The definition of rape is also revised and the rate of this crime has been increased.
The recent statistics of crime in Millburn are as follows:
Murders:
In 2015, the rate was zero as in 2014. In 2013, 1 murder occurred.
Rape:
In 2015, 2014, and 2013, not a single rape case was reported.
Robberies:
In 2015, 5 robbery cases happened, whereas 7 cases happened in 2014.
In 2013, 7 robbery incidents occurred.
Aggravated assaults:
In 2015, the rate was 4. Then in 2014, it reduced to 2. In 2013, it decreased to one.
Non-violent crimes:
Burglary:
In 2015, the rate was 375.
Larceny:
350 cases occurred in 2014.
Vehicle Theft:
474 cases were reported in 2013.
