25-Year-Old New Jersey Man Faces Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated Charges
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – 25-year-old Alexander Singh of Dumont, NJ, was arrested for aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
Facts of the Case
According to police reports, Singh:
- Was traveling south on Route 340 in a 2007 Ford Mustang
- Drifted off the roadway
- Collided with a parked vehicle and a mailbox in Orangetown
The incident took place at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday 16 January. Singh was issued field sobriety tests which he failed and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
The Arrest
He was taken into custody and transported to Orangetown Police Headquarters where he was given a Breathalyzer test, which he failed.
Based on the results of the breathalyzer test, he was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and was released to a family member after posting a $100 bail.
Singh is expected to appear in Orangetown Court on Wednesday, 10 February.
